Ms. Cao joined AMI-USC in 2015 as a member of the project management team which oversees the development of projects and their commercialization from the Institute. She works with senior directors and other project managers, and has a multi-faceted role which involves conducting technology feasibility assessment, primary and secondary market research, and competitor analysis, among other responsibilities.
Prior to AMI, Jessica worked for three years at Phenomenex, a leading separation science company. She was involved in multiple business functions including internal and external product support, product coordination, market research, and sales and marketing strategy for the Chinese market.
From 2011 to 2013, Jessica was with Peabody Energy, the world’s largest private-sector coal company. As an analyst in the Global Energy Analytics group, she was responsible for conducting market analytics and assessment of the global economy and energy market, designing and maintaining statistical databases, and forecasting models, as well as researching global energy regulation and policy, particularly in China.
Ms. Cao received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Nanjing University, China. She later got a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis in 2011. Her research experience was mainly focused on Analytical Chemistry and Material Sciences. She is currently pursuing a Certificate in Regulatory and Clinical Affairs at the University of Southern California (USC).
