AMIT is the "Alfred E. Mann Institute for Biomedical Development at Technion University" which is a non-profit institute located on the Technion campus, in Israel.

		The Alfred E. Mann Foundation for Biomedical Engineering (AEMFBE) is a philanthropic organization that establishes university-based commercialization-enablement and product development institutes, called Alfred Mann Institutes for Biomedical Development (AMIs), to more rapidly expedite the delivery of compelling biomedical technology to patients.

		The The Southern California Biomedical Council (SoCalBio) is the trade association of the life-science industry in Greater Los Angeles. The mission of SoCalBio is to represent and promote medical device and biotechnology industry in Los Angeles and Orange Counties as well as adjacent communities in the Inland Empire and Gold Coast.

		Ira S. Kalb is President of Kalb & Associates, a consulting and training firm that specializes in marketing, sales, management and business systems. Mr. Kalb teaches at USC in the Marshall School of Business and is a branding expert.
