Mr. Hacker has been involved in electronics design, software design, and Information Technology Management for over 35 years.
William began his career at AMI-USC in 2004. He has extensive experience with engineering and IT management, including regulatory experience with UL, CSA, HIPAA, and SB1386. William currently manages all IT-related activities within AMI-USC. These activities include preparing and monitoring the IT departmental budgets and schedules, customizing software for senior staff, licensing of all software, building and maintaining the computing infrastructure – servers and desktops – as well as monitoring the security and integrity of all data stored on AMI servers and off-site data backup services.
Mr. Hacker spent 15 years as an embedded systems engineer designing hardware and firmware in the commercial and defense industries. Prior to joining AMI, he was the Director of IT and Sales for a multi-national data capture services provider. The company provided outsourcing services to Medical and Dental Insurance companies, County Governments, and Title searches for the real-estate industry. At this company, Mr. Hacker customized data-entry and OCR software to meet specific customer needs and designed and maintained the entire computing infrastructure for 500 employees. He also oversaw the sales force that provided sales leads to a real-estate title company.
Mr. Hacker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from California State University, Northridge and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
